Mommy is making candles for Easter

House smells pretty again, if you like roses and honeysuckle and jasmine and herbs. She is also making citronella candles for outside and she is mixing citronella with oranges and lavender, I think they smell even better. Mommy is making all sizes of them too. Big ones that you will be able to burn for a loooonnnngg time and little ones that would make really nice gifts. I think it’s pretty cool that she is using old canning jars to make them too. So she says she is recycling them and if people bring them back, then she will give them a discount on their next one. The wax she uses is koolzaadwas or rapeseed wax. The plants are grown right here in Europe, and in France and in England and Germany so it’s better for the environment. Plus this is a plant that is not genetically modified so it’s good for the land and the buzzy bees. Best of all, the candles are noisy. Mommy is using wooden wicks so they crackle and pop while they burn. The wooden wooden wicks just like the wax burn cleaner and don’t leave all that black sooty stuff behind., again better for all of us. No nasty chemicals to harm me or my sisters or other animals.
